Firearms Operations for the Executive Protection Specialist
This is a five day course concentrating on weapons handling and deployment for EP specialists. Students will be taught techniques on 3 different firearms, pistol, sub gun and shotgun. They will be exposed to situations requiring the use of different skills and firearms.
- Address firearms safety and handling issues unique for EP details
- Practice shooting techniques and tactical weapons handling drills for EP Operations
- Carry and deploy weapons as part of an EP detail
- Practical scenarios focus on firearms issues during EP operations; arrival/departure, escorts, etc.
Duration: 5-Days (40-Hours)
Ammunition: 500 rounds of Pistol, 500 Rounds of Sub Gun and 100 rounds of Shotgun
Equipment Required: Pistol and a Submachine Gun or Short Barrel Rifle. Concealed carry duty gear (holster, magazine pouches, etc.), body armor, flashlight and handcuffs with key. Participants should come prepared to train in all weather conditions and should bring a hydration system or water bottle. Wraparound eye protection, ear protection, and brimmed hats will be worn during all live fire training. Participants should wear clothing suitable for training, but similar to garments worn while working.
