This course will provide information on the types, designs, benefits, and capabilities of Suppressors. Discuss the safety aspect and demonstrate the ways to attach a variety of suppressors. All attendees will have an opportunity to shoot the 9mm Pistols, 9mm and .45 Cal. Carbines and 5.56, 300 Blackout, 308 Cal. and 338 Lapua Rifles firearms with suppressors installed.
- Discuss safety issues associated with Suppressors
- Attach and detach suppressors from an assortment of firearms
- Review designs of suppressors
- Practice fouling and cleaning suppressors
- Review accuracy factors associated with suppressors
- Observe, experience, and discuss recoil when using suppressors
Duration: 1-Day (8-Hours)
Ammunition suggestions, not requirements: 100 rounds 9mm, 60 rounds 5.56 mm, 20 rounds .308 Cal, 10 rounds .338 Lapua.
Equipment Required: Duty belt (or tactical vest) with all issued gear, body armor, flashlight and handcuffs with key. Participants should come prepared to train in all weather conditions and should bring a hydration system or water bottle. Wraparound eye protection, ear protection, and brimmed hats will be worn during all live fire training. Participants should wear clothing suitable for training, but similar to garments worn while working. All the following Firearms with suppressors will be provided; Springfield XDm 9mm, Lancer 300 Blackout, Savage 5.56, Ruger 5.56, Savage 308, Savage 338 Lapua
